You may ask Why Soy?
Did you know that paraffin is a by-product of the oil refining process? I didn’t either until recently. But it went a long way in explaining to me why the people I know who seem to be sensitive to candles, but not all flowers, were this way. It would seem that they are reacting to the petroleum base more than the fragrance...which is what I always assumed it was. Soy is a natural alternative to paraffin. It is made from soy beans, which is one of the largest crops in the U.S. That means that it is a renewable source. Also, after doing my research, the wax I use is made from U.S. grown crops. That means it is also good for our "local" economy. And, these candles are also vegetarian and vegan friendly, as they are plant-based and do not contain animal products. |
